With the exception of a small portion at the top end, the sides of this are padded rather than mesh which can pose a suffocation risk if your baby has his/her face up against the side of the bassinet (think crib bumper). My baby is a squirmer and several times I woke up to find her laying with her face a half an inch from the side...scary! With a simple redesign this bassinet would be fine but I wound up getting a play yard for our room because it has mesh sides.

Bought it, assembled it, decided it was a piece of crap, disassembled it, put in for a return. The mattress pad is SIDS scary, but if that's not enough, it's just such a cheap piece of junk. Don't know what I'm going to replace it with yet, but I'm not putting my kid in that thing.

I ordered this bassinet under Amazon's free shipping. 3 days later it arrived on my doorstep:) Assembly took me a little over an hour, but considering my ample pregnant belly and inability to move well that really isn't bad. I did have to reference the instructions a few times to answer some questions, but other than that putting it together was a snap. The only part that I had trouble with was finding the buttons to put the handle to the bassinet down. I searched for quite a while because I'd expected them to be somewhere on the handle and the instructions were not clear. As it turns out they are located on the edge of the bassinet just inside the handle on both sides. They are covered by fabric that is pinned down so you can't see them, but if you run your hand along the top edge you will be able to feel them.
While I have not used this product yet, I am very happy with it so far.
